Arrival
When mysterious spacecraft touch down across the globe, an elite team – led by
expert translator Louise Banks (Academy Award® nominee Amy Adams) – races against time to
decipher their intent. As tensions mount between fearful governments, Banks discovers the
aliens’ true purpose and, to avert global war, takes a chance that could threaten her life,
and quite possibly humanity. Oscar® nominee Jeremy Renner and Academy Award® winner Forest
Whitaker co-star in this mesmerizing masterpiece with a mind-blowing ending.

8 months agoThank God they went back to the vertical position, who knows what type of weapon they were about to defend themselves with while they were in the horizontal position.

8 months agoOf course the government would assume they mean harm. Morons. God created them as He created us. Why assume the worst? And of course some idiot has to make a reference to a one world leader. Forget that.

7 months agoYou have my deepest sympathies. 🙏🙏 I am too, so glad you had them for a while.💞 💞 I am 64, never married, and never had any children of my own. My boyfriend of 36 years, already had 3 children when we met, all preteens. I am very grateful to have had a small part in helping them a little along they're way. Two of them have children, and i have 5 beautiful children that call me Grama.❤Although i will never hear someone call me mom, Grama will always be the best word i will ever hear someone call me. 🥰❤ If it's o.k. i will hold you in my heart and always in my prayers.💌

7 months agoWatching how people go crazy when they arrive and this chaos and violence and looting. Well that is exactly what will happen to humanity if this were to happen. Mass hysteria. Not all are affected by it, but most do, unless educated and given enough preparation physically and psychologically. Perhaps everything were seeing on history channel and on the internet, the recent releases of videos from the air force and other intelligence agencies of UFOs or UAPs is their slow campaign at disclosure. Only all the world leaders do not have our best interests in mind. And neither do the ones really running the show, and then there are the watchers. The watchers have been here as long as man and possibly before man, they are beings adapted to our world, or if they came before us then "their world" they're shapeshifters pretty close to reptile and probably all around us and you just don't know it yet and probably because we just can't see them "yet". You hear all this esoteric talk of a veil over our reality, well i believe that there is a sort of veil and its not far fetched to think at some point the veil will be lifted.

7 months agoOne of my favorite sci-fi films. So beautiful and subtle and insightful and touching. It deeply speaks to me about sensitivity, communication, empathy and peaceful collaboration with others. The writing, acting, score, directing and visual effects are all superb.

1 month agoThis is a fine movie, however, it has been perceived "too cerebral." You have powerful aliens looking to earth for help. Meanwhile, you got Americans asking, "when does this get good? Blow some shit up! Get me another beer. Oof, I just shit myself."
