Poltergeist (1982)
http://www.hbomax.com A typical family in a quiet suburb of a normal California faces a frightening ordeal when its home is invaded by a Poltergeist. Late one night, 10-year-old Carol Anne Freeling (Heather O’Rourke) hears a voice coming from inside the television set … At first, the spirits that invade the Freelings’ home seem like playful children. But then they turn angry. And when Carol Anne is pulled from this world into another, Steve and Diane Freeling (Craig T. Nelson and JoBeth Williams–In the Land of Women) turn to an exorcist (Zelda Rubinstein) in this horror classic from director Tobe Hooper (Texas Chainsaw Massacre films) and producer and screenwriter Steven Spielberg.

2 months agoThe kitchen scene after father realizes entity there, cuts off then suddenly they are talking to the next door neighbor asking if they'd been having the same issue. Went back and it did it again. So You Tube apparently does the old school thing where they cut stuff out. Definitely one of the best movies of the 80's. A trailblazer if you will. And of coarse Steven Spielberg made this. Best director in my opinion. One other directors aspire to be like. Ron Howard in his league for the best of the best.

2 months agoOne of my favorite horror movies , growing up in the 80s. There really wasn't too many of them, the big 3 were Excorcist, Amityville and Poltergeist. Then finding out that Carol Ann met tragedy at such a young age, just sent shivers down my spine. There are documentaries about this film being cursed, which just adds to the darkness.

2 months agoThis movie makes me want to rip Stephen Spielberg to pieces very slowly. Heather O' Rourke died from intestinal blockage and damage in her colon. Spielberg's "Amblin" production company so close to "nambla" (national man boy love association) given what we know about Hollywood, you can use your imagination as to what happened to that poor girl.

2 months agoSteven RUINED "WAR OF THE WORLDS" sure it was adapted from HG WELLS! But he fucked up about the martians. Martians did NOT make any sound. Martians did NOT emerge from their mechs. Car Ferry in the movie – NOT THUNDERCHILD. In the 2 musicals, it was THUNDERCHILD. Martians never went "ulllllllllla" or "buwahhhhhhhhhhhh buwahhhhhhhhhhhh" Their heat rays were accurate. The rest of the movie was inaccurate. Crows fighting martians to the death – accurate both book and musicals. In the movie, there was a George Herbert or his wife. They never had kids. Thanks for fucking up "WAR OF THE WORLDS" , STEVEN! ^
