Hostile | Full Horror Sci-Fi Movie
Survival is the only option in a world where humanity is the enemy.
Exploring the Post-Apocalyptic World of Hostile
In the post-apocalyptic world of the 2017 film Hostile, viewers are taken on a thrilling and emotional journey through a desolate landscape where survival is the ultimate goal. The film follows the story of Juliette, a young woman who is struggling to survive in a world ravaged by a mysterious virus that has decimated the population and left the remaining survivors fighting for their lives.
As the film opens, we are introduced to Juliette as she navigates the dangerous terrain of the wasteland, scavenging for supplies and constantly on the lookout for threats. The world of Hostile is bleak and unforgiving, with abandoned buildings and crumbling infrastructure serving as a constant reminder of the world that once was.
Despite the harsh conditions, Juliette is determined to survive, drawing on her resourcefulness and resilience to stay alive. Forced to confront her past and make difficult choices, Juliette must find the strength to fight back and survive.
One of the most striking aspects of Hostile is its visual style, which captures the desolation and despair of the post-apocalyptic world in stunning detail. The cinematography is haunting and atmospheric, with sweeping shots of the barren landscape and dilapidated buildings creating a sense of isolation and hopelessness.
The film also explores themes of loss, redemption, and the power of human connection in the face of adversity. Juliette’s journey is not just one of survival, but also of self-discovery and growth as she confronts her own demons and learns to trust others in order to survive.
The character of Juliette is brought to life by actress Brittany Ashworth, who delivers a powerful and nuanced performance that captures the complexity of her character. Ashworth’s portrayal of Juliette is raw and emotional, drawing viewers into her world and making them feel her pain and determination.
As Juliette’s story unfolds, we are taken on a rollercoaster of emotions, from heart-pounding action sequences to quiet moments of reflection. The film’s pacing is expertly handled, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats while also allowing for moments of introspection and character development.
Hostile is a gripping and thought-provoking film that offers a fresh take on the post-apocalyptic genre. It is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the power of hope in the face of overwhelming odds. With its stunning visuals, compelling performances, and emotional depth, Hostile is a must-see for fans of dystopian cinema.

9 months agoI hate these flashbacks, just like Annihilation boring emotional girl stuff I care nothing for. It really doesn't add to anything but minutes to the run time and slows the movie to a crawl. I'm groaning everytime.

9 months agoFantastic low budget SI FI, but somewhat ambiguous. How did Jack survive out there in the desert, from the hospital ? Did that poison gas destroy the world and turn people into zombies ? Never quite clear, but well done. Heart rendering finish. Music was superb also. The director made a lot out of a little. Francis Bacon was a great choice ! The great cosmic beauty and transcendence in the horrible and evil and dangerous .

show more show lessdoes this mean he was somewhat aware of what was going on/who she was the whole time?
could he have killed her at any point if he wanted and just chose to screw with her instead? (this is for obvious reasons … partly? a joke, but I am legitimately curious.)
